| I've been wanting to get back into blogging recently. It's been over a year since I last did so. A lot has happened in that year. However, I won't begin tonight, since it is very late and I am feeling kinda tired. And tomorrow is Sunday...one of the busiest days of the week. So, to anyone who may still read these things...I hope to get back into the swing of things soon. good night. | | |

| I know it's really lame to post a month and a half late about something as momentous as graduation, but alas, my name is Bonnie Hippler, and I am a procrastinator. But, I am also a College Graduate, and I have pictures to prove it:
Graduation day was awesome! My whole family was there, and everything went smoothly. For several weeks prior to the big day, I had this nagging fear that my name wouldn't be called out! That I'd get to the front of the graduation line, and "whoops... we don't have your name listed here... you must not have taken all your classes... did you remember to take Micro-Organic Botany your sophomore year? That must be it." Kind of like realizing your name's not in the Lamb's Book of Life when you reach the Pearly Gates. But, of course, none of that happened, and I am now ashamed to admit my chickenheartedness. Throughout the day, I became keenly aware of just how many friends I have... Cheering in the crowd:
From far away places:
And from not so far away places:
And to top it off, I got to eat at Zea's with my family: (My brother)
And see my niece: only the cutest baby in the whole world!
It really was a great day, and I wanted to share it with all of you. I wish I had more sentimental words of wisdom and knowledge, but I've never been good at such things. So, I bid you all farewell...Until we meet again.
| Not much new here. Feeling anxious about graduating. and questioning my future. I have a plan, but can't be sure it's the right plan. And the plan has had to be reworked recently. And I'm wondering about my motives...fear, uncertainty? So I feel disquieted. (Is that even a word?) But one thing I do know:
The Joy of the Lord is my Strength!

Random conversation overheard while getting a hair shampoo/cut:
Beautician 1: So, you broke up with your boyfriend? Beautician 2: I broke up with my boyfriend a month ago. Then about a week ago I started seeing this guy. Beautician 1: Oh, ok. Is he the one who brought you the flowers? (Beauticians glance over at a very large bouquet of pink roses) Beautician 2: Yeah, he was supposed to come with us to New Orleans but he couldn't make it. Something about not having enough money or something. Beautician 1: When are you going to New Orleans? Beautician 2: For the game. Superbowl. My mom has a balcony overlooking Bourbon. Beautician 1: Oh, that's right. You're from New Orleans. So why couldn't he come? Beautician 2: Not sure, (shrugs her shoulders) he said he didn't have enough money, so he had to cancel. Beautician 1: So he bought you the flowers instead? Beautician 2: Yeah, he sent me the flowers today. Beautician 1: Couldn't he have used the money to go to New Orleans? I mean, that bouquet costs at least 50 dollars! Beautician 2: Yeah, probably so. (Beauticians 1 & 2 continue conversing about how many drinks could have been purchased with the money that was spent on aforementioned flowers.) The End.
